about us
The Phantoms Flyball Team est. 2013
Our team was founded by an experienced group of flyball competitors. We have grown and changed over the years, but we still beam the flyball bat signal over Huddersfield.
flyball training
Our priority is always happy, healthy dogs running to the best of their ability. We currently train with a variety of breeds, from Australian Shepherds to Whippets, and everything in between.
We train using positive reinforcement for dogs and handlers; we know consistency and confidence = speed!

Who Are We?
All of our foundation members trained and competed for many years with other teams, bringing together a wealth of experience from not only flyball, but backgrounds in competitive agility and obedience, as well as veterinary canine sport medicine and rehabilitation. We have raced at Crufts, at the British and European Flyball Championships, and even at the NAFA CanAm Classic.
We now have a host of home-grown flyballers who are equally dedicated to competitively training and racing whilst supporting each part of our team; dogs, handlers, owners, boxloaders, and supporters!
Where to Find Us?
We train in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
In summer – typically April to September – we train at our outdoor venue in Farnley Tyas (with grateful thanks to North K9) on Thursday evenings.
In winter – typically October to March – we train at our indoor venue in Marsden (with grateful thanks to Marsden Sports Hall) on Sunday mornings.
We primarily race across the North of England and Cheshire at both indoor and outdoor tournaments.
